Exploring DNA conformation. From the electron to the chromatin

DNA is a highly polymorphic structure and an excellent example of a multiscale problem, where small details at the Å scale impacts into the global structure a meter-long fiber. The tacking of a multiscale problem needs to be done from a multiphysics approach, where accurate and coarse -grained representations are combine to reproduce not only small details, but also the large picture of DNA. I will summarize recent development from our group for a holistic representation of DNA, showing examples of the expected accuracy we can achieve when using theoretical methods to study different aspect of DNA chemistry and biology.
