A delegation of the Nitte University of Mangalore (India), headed by its vice-chancelor, Prof. Sunnari Ramananda Shetty, visited us on the 13th of February, 2017.
The Nitte University (NU) and the University Toulouse III-Paul Sabatier (UPS) have developed a partnership since 2014 and wish to reinforce it in various fields of life sciences, medical sciences and engineering. To achieve this goal, the Indian delegation met representatives of the UPS, the odontology faculty, two engineering schools (INSA and UPSTITECH), the Center for Integrative Biology (CBI-Toulouse) and IPBS.
To explore the opportunities of cooperation with IPBS, Dr Olivier Neyrolles, Deputy Director, presented the research activities of the institute to our guests and highlighted common interests between IPBS and the research centers of the Faculty of Biological Sciences of NU, headed by Prof. Indrani Karunasagar, notably in the fields of infectious diseases and identification of new antituberculous drugs.
