Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion at IPBS – Pride Month 2026
For the fourth consecutive year, IPBS reaffirms its commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment for everyone. As Pride Month begins, we take this opportunity to celebrate LGBTQIA+ people and communities, and more broadly the diversity of identities, backgrounds and experiences that enrich our institute.
Pride Month is both a celebration and a reminder. It celebrates the progress made towards equality, visibility and recognition for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual people. It also reminds us that inclusion cannot be taken for granted. In research, as in society, people do their best work when they feel safe, respected, valued and free to be themselves.
At IPBS, this commitment is carried throughout the year by the Equality Committee, created in 2021 as a permanent body dedicated to promoting gender equality, preventing discrimination, and raising awareness on issues of identity, respect and inclusion. Through information, training, discussion and practical recommendations, the committee contributes to making equality and inclusion part of our everyday working culture.
Throughout the month, the Equality Committee will share resources and opportunities for discussion around inclusive language, allyship and respect in the workplace. These initiatives are open to all and are intended to encourage dialogue, awareness and solidarity.
As Toulouse prepares to host its 2026 Marche des Fiertés, IPBS stands with all those working to make our institutions, workplaces and communities more open, fair and welcoming.
Diversity is not only something we acknowledge; it is something we must actively protect, support and celebrate. Inclusion is not an option. It is a shared responsibility and a value we live by.
