Lucas Blanchard is awarded the Paul Sabatier University Prize (Life or Earth Sciences) from the Toulouse Academy of Sciences
Dr Lucas Blanchard received the Paul Sabatier University Prize on June 11th at the Hôtel d’Assézat during the formal session of the Toulouse Academy of Sciences, Inscriptions and Belles-Lettres. He was honored for his thesis work on HEV blood vessels, specialized blood vessels involved in anti-tumor immunity and response to cancer immunotherapy treatments. The original results he obtained in Jean-Philippe Girard’s team at IPBS were published in Cancer Cell in 2022. This article was recently selected in the ‘Best of Cancer Cell 2022’ issue.
Every year, the “Académie des Sciences, Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres de Toulouse” and its associated institutions (including the Université Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier) awarded prizes in the form of medals, diplomas and endowments, mainly intended to encourage talented young people (young doctors) to complete their university theses.
