Magali Jacquier is appointed member of the CNRS ethics committee
Magali Jacquier, veterinary doctor and scientific director of the ANEXPLO/IPBS platform, has been appointed for the 2021-2025 term of COMETS, the CNRS ethics committee.
Dr. Magali Jacquier has been a specialist in ethics, regulation and animal welfare issues for more than 15 years at IPBS and was a project manager at INSB.
Since 1994, COMETS is a think tank that examines general ethical issues raised by research. Through its public opinions and training activities, COMETS draws the attention of research and management personnel to the ethical and societal dimensions of all research. It aims to clarify the exercise of freedom of research with regard to the duties and responsibilities that these personnel have towards the CNRS and more generally towards society.
COMETS is composed of a president and 12 members appointed by the CNRS Board of Directors. It represents all disciplines and respects gender parity.
